Good morning, all, from Big Sky Country. It's our Montana birthday today. We became a state in 1889!
I've been busier than a bee at Honey Pie Music lately, but this morning I just want to send out a quick e-news so I can reach those of you who may not have heard on FaceBook. . . .
My new CD Nobody Else's Dream is now available from the website store. Choose Store on the left and then CDs. It's the first choice. If you want to buy multiple copies, look farther on down the page to "Buy More, Save More." This CD is getting rave reviews from fans, many of whom say it's my "best yet." Other responses include "I've been playing #7 on repeat - Love it, love it!" or simply, "Judy I LOVE this CD!"
(You don't need a PayPal account to buy on my website - simply follow the PayPal link to use your credit card)
And this is what I wanted to send out to you right away this morning:
Last night Deb Andersen, producer of the Wimmins Show in Lincoln, NE, told me she'd be featuring airplay of 3 of my songs today, including 2 from the new CD Nobody Else's Dream, and 1 from my guitar solo CD Goin' Over Home. You can tune in to her show from 12-2PM Central Standard time. Sounds like it will be another great couple of hours of music and cool info. Here's her message:
<<Good Sunday Morning to you! Its a beautiful crisp day here in Lincoln and I've already seen three blue herons on my early morning visit to Holmes Lake. Today on the Wimmin's Show starting at noon, my guest programmer is Lincoln's own dog whisperer TREVOR BASSEN who is a music collector and musician who plays indie, pop and punk music with a passion! Starting the show at 12:00 CST you will hear music from JUDY FJELL, RICKIE LEE JONES and BONNIE RAITT. You can hear the Wimmin's Show every Sunday from 12-2pm CST on the air at 89.3 FM KZUM or stream us live at www.kzum.org/ you can also use the Tunein radio app to tune us in on your phone or tablet. Hope you can join us!>>
She'll be playing "What Wondrous Love/Wayfaring Stranger" from Goin' Over Home and "Nobody Else's Dream" and "No Turnin' Back" from the new CD.
And previous to that, I've had some terrific coverage in the Helena Independent Record.

And here's the link to Thom Bridge's video of the featured "Last Chance Gulch Sessions" also in the IR.
I'm working on spring tours and have a firm date of Saturday, March 5, at Traditions Cafe in Olympia, Washington. I have other concerts in the works and will get those posted on my website ASAP. If you have any connections to producers or venues from Spokane on out to Seattle and then down to San Francisco bay area, please let me know.
All for now, it's almost time to go to our local Big Sky Unitarian Fellowship. After that, Katie and I have some yard and garden work to do. Time to plant the garlic bulbs, fix the gutter on the west side of the studio, put away the hoses for the winter, etc. Yesterday we took a great walk with the dogs in the snow on the south hills. Helena is a wonderful place to live!
Love to you all - Keep singing and making music,
