|Judy Fjell Newsletter||<$today>|
Greetings, everyone, from Colorado.
I just sent out an e-news to the WoMaMu community. Since I have access to wifi at this moment, I figured I'd better send out an e-news to my Judy Fjell newsletter list, too. I know that some of you are not on the WoMaMu list, but I don't want you to miss the wonderful picture I took of a great-horned owl yesterday here at Waterton Canyon outside of Denver.
GIGS IN COLORADO
I've already had a fulfilling time here in Colorado, beginning with our very successful Music EdVentures conference April 9-11 and a concert and worship service on Saturday and Sunday with the Mountain Desert District UU annual meeting. So great to see old friends and be part of an extremely inspiring worship service led by Rev. Gretchen Haley.
At the bottom of this newsletter you can find links to remind you about all the concerts and UU worship services I'll be presenting in the next couple of weeks here in Colorado. Please send any of these links on to your friends in the Denver Fort Collins area.
NEW CD PROJECT ON THE HORIZON - NOBODY ELSE'S DREAM
This whole tour since February has been very exciting and successful. Thanks to all of you who have attended concerts and workshops along the tour and have provided hospitality and home stays for Katie and me, our little dog Buffy, and our SCAMP trailer. I'm particularly moved by how many of you have bought multiple CDs to help support a new CD project - Nobody Else's Dream. My friend and bass player Tami Pallingston introduced me to her longtime drummer-recording engineer friend Tim Gray in Eureka, CA on the third weekend of March. Was that ever a hit! We managed to lay down basic tracks - bass, drums, and guitar for EIGHT songs in 5 days. I'm smiling at the reality that this new CD is going to ROCK AND ROLL! The kernel for this CD began when I kept wanting to re-record "Where Are You Standing" with the pace and the feel that I always wish we had used on the recording Best of Times. From that simple beginning, the project has grown into a very full, energetic recording that already has Katie and me dancing in the kitchen to the rough mix tracks! It's amazing how these projects unfold. The whole Goin' Over Home CD project began with a simple request from my friend Sue Dolf to record her favorite guitar original of mine - "Elena." I am ever grateful for the growth I experienced as a guitarist in putting those compositions and arrangements together.
If you'd like to help fund this new recording, the best thing you can do (outside of just sending me a contribution) is to buy my existing CDs. Putting them on sale has been a great fundraiser already. I will be back in Montana the last week of April and will ship orders I receive after that, but in the meantime, you can purchase them at my website store toward the bottom of the CD page where it says:
ASSORTED COLLECTION - PREVIOUSLY RELEASED CDS. It's a great sale - 1 for $15, 2 for $25, 3 for $30, 4 for $35, 5 for $40. Just like the big stores say "Buy more, save more!" :-)
PLAYLIST FOR NOBODY ELSE'S DREAM
Here are 10 of the songs which will likely be on this new CD (of course things could change a bit between now and the release date, which I am setting for Fall 2015). I have a couple others in mind but am waiting for the whole project to unfold.

Thanks again for all of your support and inspiration - Life is indeed rich.
Keep singing, Judy
