Summer Class SINGING GAMES FOR TEACHERS with Judy Fjell 2008 Dates Pending
HOW & WHY TO USE SINGING GAMES IN THE CLASSROOM • Instructions for 10 classroom games which can be used throughout the year - many of them ease transitions from one activity to another during the school day • Explanation of how these games teach academic and social skills and deeper exploration of the principles behind this song game approach, pioneered in America by Mary Helen Richards from the singing literacy work of Zoltan Kodaly in Hungary • Observation of children learning through the singing games • Instruction for teachers in singing and taking care of the voice
